ICED CHAI LATTE FROM STARBUCKS

Chai concentrate begins with tea brewing. 4 single-serve chai tea bags need 2 cups of boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes. Oversteeping tea can make it bitter.

Add tea to a pot and heat at medium-high. Stir 1/4 cup brown sugar to dissolve.

Remove from heat and place in a sealed jar. If you plan to store the chai, you may wish to shake it before making your chai latt

Starbucks makes its iced chai lattes with chai concentrate, 2% milk, and ice. Black tea, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, vanilla, and cane sugar make chai concentrate.

Chai lattes are not coffee-based. Black tea and exotic spices make chai. The "Dirty Chai" is a popular chai latte with a shot of espresso.

Here's the recipe. If caffeine concerns you, Tazo has a decaf concentrate (affiliate link) or you can select a bagged decaf chai tea you enjoy.

Chai has spicy cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and black pepper. Thus, milk and sugar go well with it. It perfectly balances those warming/spicy flavors!
