2023 Atlantic season's fourth named storm is Category 1 Don. Tropical Storm Bret, which had peak maximum sustained winds of 70 mph

In the month of June, there were a total of three tropical storms, one of which was Tropical Storm Bret,

which peaked with maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour and was only 4 mph shy of meeting

the requirements for hurricane strength according to the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale

Hurricane Don had maximum sustained winds of 75 mph as of 5 pm AST and was heading north at a speed of 12 mph as of the same time.

Don was classified as a subtropical storm when it first developed on July 14 and has maintained its distance from land throughout its meandering route.

AccuWeather meteorologists predict that Hurricane Don will move over an area of colder waters, which will result in the system's winds being less intense.
